  1.  When exactly does the Conference start and end?

The conference starts off with a Paul Harris Luncheon Friday May 16th at noon.  We expect many families with children or grandchildren to arrive late afternoon Friday in time for the Grand Tour of Hospitality Rooms and our Kickoff outdoor barbeque dinner.

The conference ends after our luncheon on Sunday May 18th – approximately 2:00pm.

The District 6360 Annual Meeting will take place during Sunday’s luncheon – a working lunch so to speak.

       6.  Should I really bring my family to a Rotary District Conference?

Absolutely.  This conference is designed for families, with many activities that are either designed for children, or are designed to appeal to both adults and children.  Spouses and children are encouraged to attend all the programs which are mostly human interest stories and will appeal to all ages.  Spouses and children will be invited to be part of the solution regarding the ‘Children of the Dump’ Program.

  1.  Should I come if I’m single or without my family that weekend?

Absolutely.  While family members will be present, the material and activities will equally appeal to individual Rotarians without their family.  The humanitarian Rotary programs are not ‘dumbed down’ in anyway;  they are just programs designed to appeal to a broad range of ages.  Activities such as horseback riding, the Nature Center, Interpretive walks and hiking will appeal to all ages.  Hey, the District Governor is single, and he’s coming!

  1. Do I have to stay at the Potawatomi Inn to attend the Conference?

No.  The District Conference is located within close driving distance to many District Rotarians in the south part of our District.  Rotarians can commute for the day and save the cost of overnight lodging.  You must, however, still register for the conference.

  1. Can I come for just part of the Conference?

Yes, we offer 2 packages that will allow you to attend the 1st half or the 2nd half of the District Conference.  Please see the ‘registration’ link for more information.

  1. Will there be a Church Service Sunday morning?

Yes.  Please check the ‘Ecumenical Service’ button (picture of church) on the website for more information.
